On Saturday April 25 and Sunday April 26, 2026, Ultra South Africa held its eleventh edition in the two-cities format which has become the brand's signature on the continent: Expo Center Nasrec in Johannesburg on Saturday, then The Ostrich Ranch in Cape Town on Sunday. This relay between the two electronic capitals of the country attracts the South African EDM, techno and house diaspora every year and brings together the biggest international headliners from the Ultra Worldwide circuit. The RESISTANCE and Main Stage cover the entire electronic spectrum, from big room to underground sets, in two spectacular venues: Nasrec in urban arena mode, The Ostrich in open-air equestrian mode. The 2027 return has already been announced: April 30 in Cape Town and May 1 in Johannesburg.

From Monday 27 April to Sunday 3 May 2026, AfrikaBurn set up its annual creative week in Quaggafontein, in the semi-arid Tankwa Karoo Desert between the Western Cape and Northern Cape, under the official theme "Through The Prism". A transformative event inspired by Burning Man, AfrikaBurn is not a commercial festival with headliners: the music is carried by dozens of self-organized sound camps that cover psytrance, techno, house, organic house, dub and downtempo. The official sound policy governs the broadcast (95 dB max, amplified music cut-off at 2:00 a.m., quiet hours during the day) to preserve the relationship with the desert and the monumental art which structures the experience. Tickets are sold in several waves (First Flame, Second Strike, Ground Up, New Horizon, Blue Sky) with a stratified access system typical of burns.

Origin Festival 2026

From Friday January 30 to Sunday February 1, 2026,Origin Festival has set up its electronic lineup at Elandskloof Guest Farm, in Helderstroom between Villiersdorp and Greyton in the Western Cape, approximately 125km from Cape Town. The signature schedule opens the gates on Friday at noon and plays the music from 4:00 p.m. Friday until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, in an immersive camping formula that condenses the codes of the largest international psy/electronic gatherings. The 2026 line-up brought together global references from the Nano Records label and the melodic scene: Earthspace (Brazil), Melting Point (Brazil/Germany), Braincell (Germany), Gui Boratto (Brazil) and Starlab (India), surrounded by the cream of the South African psych scene. Origin is positioned as a pivotal boutique electronic festival in the Western Cape, with strong public loyalty and the official announcement of the 2027 edition already scheduled for January 29, 30 and 31, 2027.

From Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026, Earthdance Cape Town returns to Kromrivier Farm in Riviersonderend, in the mountains of the Western Cape, for its annual edition synchronized with the global Prayer for Peace set for Saturday 19 September at 4:00 p.m. PST. Two stages feature South African electronic programming, combined with ceremonies, workshops, visual performances, immersive cinema and a craft market. The format focuses on the conscious dimension of psytrance, downtempo and chillout, without giving up dancefloor nights: Earthdance Cape Town is one of the oldest and most recognized conscious psy/electronic gatherings in the country. Phase 2 tickets are 1,250 ZAR, gate at 1,450 ZAR, with free entry for those over 60 on presentation of an ID: a pricing policy which underlines the community and inclusive dimension of the event.

On Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026, Rocking the Daisies celebrates its twenty-first anniversary at Cloof Wine Estate in Darling, about an hour's drive from Cape Town. It is the largest music and lifestyle festival in the Mother City, multi-genre but structurally irrigated by a strong electronic scene on the Beach Bar / Beach Club and Lemon Tree stages, where house, techno, tech house and drum & bass take turns for three days.
