Copenhagen Distortion has become THE techno meeting of the Scandinavian spring. From June 3 to 7, 2026, the festival takes over the Danish capital with two interlocking formats: free street parties which transform Vesterbro and Norrebro into giant open airs in the middle of the week, then Distortion O on Friday June 5 and Saturday June 6 on the island of Refshaleoen, paid version with a cutting-edge underground program (Aisha Devi, Salome, international guest sets). The atmosphere is unique: the entire city switches to techno mode, the bars pour their audience into the street, and the nights drag on in the port warehouses. A hybrid street culture + club format that you won't find anywhere else.

NorthSide 2026

NorthSide is the big summer event in Aarhus, the country's second city. From June 4 to 6, 2026, the festival will set up its stages at Eskelunden Park with a committed eco-responsible approach. The electronic field has its dedicated stage, Electra, which programs a serious selection of house and techno every year (Tinlicker confirms for 2026). At the head of the bill, the big international name which alternates with the nocturnal electronic scene, in a mainly Scandinavian crowd. You win the ideal combination of big festival + techno scene in a green setting, 2.5 hours by train from Copenhagen. Heartland Festival 2026

Heartland is a unique format in the European festival landscape: three days on the grounds of Egeskov Castle on the island of Funen, between music, visual arts, public debates and Scandinavian gastronomy. From June 18 to 20, 2026, the festival deploys its stages in the historic gardens of the castle, and the Prada stage as well as the nightly DJ sets near the moat give a real place to melodic electronica and techno melodic. Capacity remains limited, the audience is very curated, the visual production is one of the most careful in northern Europe. You go there for the programming, you stay there for the whole experience: walking in the gardens between two DJ sets, listening to a conference, ending the night in the open air facing the castle.

Roskilde Festival 2026

Roskilde is the biggest festival in northern Europe, and its techno field has a real place in the program. From June 27 to July 4, 2026, more than 130,000 people take turns on the site, and the Apollo stage establishes itself as one of the most desirable electronic stages on the continent: demanding line-up, massive sound system, knowledgeable crowd who push the sets very far into the night. Strom Festival 2026

Strom is Copenhagen's experimental techno signature. From August 12 to 16, 2026, the festival offers its electronic programming across the capital and Frederiksberg, in places where no one expects to come across a techno set: listed churches, metro stations, public parks, squares like Halmtorvet. The programming draws on cerebral techno, IDM, ambient and cutting-edge house, with an assumed educational dimension (workshops, conferences, performances at specific sites). You don't pay for the majority of events, which makes Strom one of the most accessible formats in Europe for discovering club electronics. A techno trip in the city, spread over five days.

Karrusel 2026

Karrusel is the final kick of the festival season in Copenhagen. From August 27 to 29, 2026, the festival takes place in Refshaleoen, on the former B&W Hallerne shipyard, with a 100% electronic program spread over three stages: Manegen, Tribunen, Arkaden. On the menu more than 45 artists: Amelie Lens, Ellen Allien and Bad Boombox on pure techno; Monolink (live), Christian Loffler (live), Acid Pauli and horsegiirL on melodic house and ambient electronics; The Egyptian Lover, Helena Lauwaert, Notion and Conducta on the electro, hard-house, bass and UKG fronts. The signature of the place is an old vintage riding school from 1955 located in the middle of a wooded area facing the port. Capacity limited to 5000 people per day, over 18 years old. An ideal end to the season for those who want a premium techno experience in a Scandinavian industrial setting.
